Those are the rear A/C vents only available on F02 models with the rear comfort package. And the two black squares behind them are the mirrors (again only available on F02). If I recall correctly, the additional A/C system requires an extra compressor that BMW stuck into the trunk, which means you loose a bit of trunk space...

The car above appears to be an individual version with Platinum Merino interior with special piping on the seats and the ceramic package?!?

Is this a US model???

The reason I am asking is because as far as I know, the US models do not have the rear iDrive controller (or at least so far it was not available in the US!).

The two vents on the roof are part of the Extended rear a/c package option code 4NF which is not available on US models
