So I'm driving a few blocks over to the CBD Superstore to pick up a tincture for my dogs hip dysplasia and as I pass the corner liquor store I see this scantily clad tall blonde walking to car. I think I grew up today. I have no clue where it came from and I'm not so sure on how I'm supposed to feel about this. Over the weekend, went up to Chicago Suburbs to look at cars. Asked a friend who has a family full of BMW owners if they had a preferred dealer - he came to that dealer to check out this one car I found. $26995, sub 30k miles, CPO 428i xDrive Coupe. Literally loaded, only down side was the color (I can't do black and especially metallic black). Agreed on the price, car drove GREAT, it was almost like that girl in your class that looks low-key but is an amazing person and also is cute and AMAZING "after hours" too.

I realized, however, buying that car on my parents' dime wouldn't be the same as me buying one with the money I make. It still kinda pains me, I'm not the owner of a beautiful and almost new 428i. I realized, especially with these conditions, getting something a bit more "sensible" might be a better choice, so I'm going to look at a Passat on Wednesday, and if everything goes well that'll be the car I end up with.

Am I being stupid? Is this what "growing up" means? Will I experience a mid-life crisis when im 31, dump my then-current girl friend and buy a used Cayman???? I get that "sensible" isn't always the best choice, but I believe I could've done way way worse. As you can probably also tell from my post there's too much going on throughout my life and I'm literally lost, if anyone can give tips and tricks on how to regain control of my life i'd appreciate that.

Seriously, you are starting to mature, you are looking at longer goals and ignoring your immediate desires. Soon you'll be thinking about how to send your kid to college instead of financing a new X5 for wife and Cayman for self.

Or, the hookers will be undercover cops and you'll be in jail.
