2013 BMW 750Li vs 2013 Jaguar XJL Supercharged

Quote:
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Motor Trend's Jonny Lieberman gets behind the wheel of two of the finest long wheelbase luxury sedans - the 2013 BMW 750Li and the Jaguar XJL Supercharged - to see which one of them does justice to their $100,000 plus price tags. First, Jonny heads to the track to see what kinds of numbers these large, premium sedans put down, then he sees how they both handle on the rough roads outside of Santa Barbara, before finally getting chauffered in the back seat of the cars to examine their distinct approaches to high-end luxury. The BMW 750Li and the Jaguar XJL Supercharged represent the most expensive flagship models in their respective brands, so which one will stand out as the best in its class? Stay tuned to find out.

A lot more options into the bimmer.
If you're looking after a more sporty sedan, there is the option of the M6 GC too

Lame review, clearly biased... I guess BMW didn't give them any marketing funds. Sorry, but that Jag is ugly. "Do you want an iDrive controller, or do you want an arm rest and relax?"

The dude even complain how slow and crappy the jags controls are.

My father had a F01 for a period and i spent a long amount of time in it as both driver and passenger. Very decent place to be in to not feel anything that's out there. In other words very S-Class-ish and since S-Class makes you feel old, the F01 did the same to me. I'm not sure when exactly BMW decided to kill the sporty soul of the 7-Series' (I grew up in the back seat of E32 750iL, i'm familiar with sporty luxurious BMW used to make), but this car just doesn't have that feel you could feel in previous generations.
As for the XJ it has been 4 months that i acquired a XJ for DD'ing. Even though it's a diesel, it's still a far more fun/better driver car than that 400hp 7-Series. It's more engaging and it feels smaller yet it's huge just like the BMW. There are a few Jaguar signatures such as the faulty interface. Electronic glitches etc... But overall i'm completely satisfied with it even though i sometimes feel i should've got the 5.0 model.
