Glad you guys like it! It's only because the thread took off and everybody is so in to it that I decided to pursue the whole thing...t.he entertainment value is only going to be for a few days..so I'm trying to get it done and end the story.

Probably the funniest thing would have been watching me out there grabbing pots and bricks and dirt and watching my back all nervous because I knew he was coming...the side yard connects to the back and it was only a minute or so before he got back there.

When I got done putting stuff over the hole for about 2 minutes I ran back inside and looked at the side yard and he was gone..ran to the back opened the door and heard a noise..so he was there That's when video came on..he had to have been not far from me when I was in the back covering the hole. Just saying...how delicate this operation has become.

Yeah, and I'm not even joking when I say I thought I could actually smell skunky when I saw him on the video.

After watching that video my money is on the skunk. J Go you better stock pile some tomato juice because you are going to need it! Even if you had this set up my money would still be on Skunky.

Actually these past few nights I feel like I'm in a Five Nights at Freddy's game if you know what that is. I do with a 6-year old. Except this is Five nights at Skunky's.

Here's today's plan: Going to home depot and getting some chicken wire. Going to wire up all the shed except the front hole which will be free and clear. Getting a can of foam. Later tonight will wait for him to be in side yard and then foam front hole. BAM. This does not look that hard. I will get a point and it will be a match point.

I am not a zoologist (though I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night) but I am going to guess that if the skunk can dig a hole (or several) under the shed foundation/walls, then he may be able to dig a hole under chicken wire. You going to dig a trench and put the chicken wire a foot below the earth line?

Are you even allowed to get rid of that skunk in CA? Don't they require you to like, tear down your house and move and make way for the animal?

Edit: Also, I bet you end up spending like $400 on trying to do it yourself before ending up calling the specialist and THEN paying the $300 anyway. I know it is not about the money, but I have done the same thing several times. (Although, none of them skunk-related.)

@jgoens unless you bury the edge of the wire, Skunky will just dig under the edge of the wire.

Over on the 'Skunk ' forum.....he's bragging about how this is chess, not checkers!!

Yeah..I'm going to dig a trench...won't be nearly as bad as digging that damn tree out last week. It can't cost that much for a bit of chicken wire. I'll find out later today.

Maybe a moat is better than a trench. Pull up the draw bridge once skunk is out of the castle.

I hate to say this but that is a distinct possibility. Mating season starts in February and gestation is 59 to 77 days.

JGo, you're gonna spend $300 on HD shit and end up with Skunk juice everywhere!

BTW, tomato juice doesn't work. That. Well..... Check out my previous post.

JGo, as much as I enjoy this drama and your enthusiasm... Please call the pros.

This ain't gonna end well. Didn't you see Skunks posts?
