7 Series AC (Weak?)

I've owned plenty of BMWs, 14 of them to be exact. However, I'm really annoyed with the new 7 series AC/Fan.

Am I the only one who thinks the 7 series AC/Fan is really weak? Even my F30 AC/Fan can cool the car very quick. The F02 was way better and so was the E90/F06/F10/F85.

I wonder if BMW uses the AC/Fan unit from a 3 series for the new 7 to cut cost...

Just "venting."

The controls are different now. I also thought it was weak but after some fiddling, I've had no problem, even in 90 degree+ heat. I thought it would work the same as the two F10s I had. It doesn't.
You will need to increase the range of the airflow with the fan control, and the upper vents are controlled by the electronic slider that goes from blue to red. The latter replaces the old style wheel with red/blue. The last thing is turn the ac to max if the car is hot when you get in.

Some of the 'weak" ac complaints are showing up in the G30 forum also, as I guess they changed the setup in all the G's. I believe that more than anything this is a matter of getting used to the new way the controls work.

Had the same issue but it was fixed when I updated the software in the car. This was done at my dealership. It's worth to update as it did fix the AC issue among others.

Also, turn off the rear climate control and the front will increase also.

Thank you. I'll have to ask for the update. The new AC is so odd, I think it's trying to mimic ocean breeze or so. I don't care about feeling the ocean breeze that makes me fall asleep driving, I just want air. LOL

Turn off "indirect ventilation". It helps.
