Not even. The guy in the Porsche just decided to enjoy his car and punched it. The X5 happened to be near him. OP could have been driving a Camry or a box-truck...wouldn't have made a difference.

This is probably what it was in real life. Just a coincidence that the OP was near the Porsche when the driver decided to go WOT for fun (because maybe it was an open road?).

I'm sure all the Honda guys have posts about my car "coincidentally" going WOT next to them. lol

As someone who has had track experience with both cars. Z06 hands down feels better. 991 is a great car though.

Some on here are talking some mad shit and have not driven a GT3 before. A big LOL to that..

What can I tell you other than that the guy pulled up next to me, paced me for a bit, and then took off. There was some tongue in cheek in my post of course. Why would someone in a GT3 try to race my X5? On the other hand, why would someone in a GT3 try to race me in the e93? Nobody had a problem with that part of the story, even though the X5 is actually faster in most situations.

Maybe he thought it was an M. Maybe he thought I was trying to race him. Maybe it was just coincidence that he decided to punch it then. Maybe he was showing off for someone in the car or saw my wife looking over and wanted to show off to her. No idea.

And as for why it didn't sound so great, maybe he didn't rev it out far enough. Maybe he had a banana in his tailpipe. I have no idea. But I'll take a nice rumbly V8 sound any day over that. As I say, the previous one sounded better, but it was on Sunny Isles Beach between a lot of buildings which echoed and amplified the sound, making it sound like it was on a track.

I'm sure the car is much faster than it appeared from just that short burst. On a track it would be in its element. As for it being the "holy god of cars," I think that is very much a matter of someone else's opinion, but not mine.

Ignore the ones who are taking this post seriously you were just telling us a story and people are getting butthurt lol

I drive a m3 e90 now and like a lot of people im also a gt3 enthusiast and just made a deposit on one . personally to me when someone talk shit about gt3 I take it offensively
