Not liking how ridiculously high the character line is. Didn't work on the 1er, not gonna work on this.

very good point. The 1 series in general has a more awkard/extreme character line compared to other BMW's. Not to mention it's position. I think it will make the 7 series look bland with a high character line because the rest of the door/side panels will be plain/boring.

Nevertheless, I'll wait for official pics before I give final judgement. I am quite dissapointed so far. This car isnt blowing me away. We shall see though.

1) Yeah, this is what I'm afraid of. From the looks of things there might be too much blandness in the sides. With such a high shoulder line, that's a whole lot of door to cover.

2) Mhm. Might as well reserve any final decisions until we see some pics of the full thing.

Some more shots of the new 7 with little camo

They've gone really conservative with the design IMO, but apparently it will be offered with the new TT V8 which should make up for the conservative looks.

From the side it looks like an A8. It can see not looking much different from the current model but still can't really judge until all camo is removed

On the plus side, the wheels look good.

BMW always have great wheels. 19s on the 335i, M5 wheels, M6 wheels, M3 wheels (even look like old M3's wheels), CS Concept wheels, etc.

Well all the M's have amazing wheels. I just think that non-M's have been more-or-less bland in the past/present...moreso in the present. I realize that they're supposed to be minimalist, but they're still dissapointing, but that's been changing.

For instance, take a look at pre/post-facelift 6 series wheels. Pre-fl's are just way too plain imo, whereas the post-fl ones are pure sex.

BMW's starting to pull around with their wheel designs finally imo.

They HAVE GOT TO be hiding the lower part of front bumper, or it's not complete. Or something. . . I just dont think BMW would screw something up that bad. But they better have figured out a damn good way to make those silly over sized kidney grills work, because at this point. . . they're not (working for it).
