Azurite Black

Guys -

Today I ordered a G11, and I must admit it was a little bit of a default option.

Considered the Quattroporte and thought it was a glorified Ghibli. Fit and finish wasn't where it needed to be - didn't have the same bespoke feel the previous generation had.

Considered the s550 (looks like a more expensive car than the 7) - but was just too numb. Also couldn't get over the steering column shifter.

Looked at the S8 but felt it was getting long in the tooth, and I wasn't sure I wanted to wait for the next generation D5.

Panamera is a great car, but having owned a bunch of 911's I had a mental block about buying a Porsche sedan. While there's been a huge improvement in styling over the first generation, it's still a little awkward.

Anyways:

I ordered Azurite Black M Sport over cognac with the 20" inch rim and blue M performance brakes and alcantara headliner.

Also ordered the black kidney grilles and the trunk lid spoiler. Think it should look sharp.

I have seen Azurite on a bunch of other bmw's but haven't even been able to stumble on a pic of a g11 in the color.

If anybody has a donor pic - would be much appreciated!

Thx.

Azurite is a beautiful color. In sunlight there are hints of blue. I have Azurite/Cognac and get compliments all the time.

Nice color choice. What build week did you get for an individual option?

The M sport version should look very good too. Love those 20" wheels.

Guys,

I spec'd the car with the options I listed above and submitted an order after putting down a $1,000 deposit.

I wanted to dig into the numbers today, so I called my dealer and asked him what my monthly would be. I know - put the cart before the horse.

Anyways...

I intend to pay up front for 36 mo's.

The quote I got for $109k car, reduced to $107k with 12k miles a year was $1600 a month.

That seems terrible, does it not? Only $2k in the 7? I've seen several posts here about people getting quotes of 1350-1400 for $110k MSRP cars.

Can someone provide some guidance?

p.s. a $2000 discount on one of these cars is ridiculous. They are taking advantage of you.

First of all, why would you ever put in an order without a price? Second, this is not a good deal at all. I am not sure they are comparable because of BMW incentives but in September when I ordered the deal was much better: MSRP 111895. Reduced to 99995 and monthly (without sales tax) was about 1260.
7500mi/yr./3yrs. 12,000/yr would have been somewhat higher but nowhere near 1600.

Didn't formally place the order. Just spec'd and gave the dealer a refundable deposit. I was mistakenly over-confident I would work out an enticing deal.

Did you buy a car your dealer had in stock? I understand how that might make a small difference.

As for what I'm dealing with - where do you think a lease should be pricing?

As I said, $2k discount doesn't seem like enough.

My car was ordered to spec, was not in stock. I ordered in September and took delivery at the end of November. This was from a dealer on Long Island. I can't tell you where you should be on the lease, but 750s are not selling like hotcakes and I am not the only one who got 10% or more off MSRP. There are lease calculator programs out there that can help you know where you should be. When I calculated what I thought my lease should be it very closely matched what my dealer offered. I am a repeat customer and well known, so they did not even ask for a deposit.
