Need of some advise

I am torn between 2010 750 Li Xdrive and 2011 535 Xdrive. Here are the details of both cars:

2010 750 Li X Drive, 16K Miles, every option except Heads up display (don't know if that was offered). MSRP nearly $100K. Under warranty until 4/2014

2011 535 X drive, M-Sport. Just under 5K miles. Nearly the same options as the 750. MSRP about $71K. Under Warranty until 6/2015

I can get either car for the same price. Up to this point, it would be a no brainer to get the 7. However, the 7 has a Carfax blemish from early in it's life of rear damage. Professionally repaired of course. The 5 is clean with no issues.

I currently own a E60 5 Series. I like the new 5, but have always loved the 7.

Would love some input, even if it is biased.

I went from a 535i to a 750Li. I like them both equally. The 7 does turn heads more for some odd reason, I guess of its huge presence (it's a beast to park, the ass always sticks out). The N63 engine is scary fast compared to the N55. I do miss the 535i for its sharper handling and much better fuel economy (avg 27mpg vs 20mpg).

The rear damage of the 7 would scare me away from the purchase. I would get the 535i mSport, then bump the power up with Burger Tuning. The 7 doesn't seem to have much warranty left, you don't want to be caught dead with a $100k MRSP car w/o warranty.

I traded in a 2012 535i for my F02 750. I do not miss the 535i or the N55 motor one bit. Even with the BMS tune my 535i was still so boring to drive. For better or worse I am a V8 person and even though my 750 was bought used, has more miles and has the casual paint blemish (from normal use) here and there, I love it 100%.

I would also pass on this particular 7 because of the rear damage - The prices are dropping so incredibly fast on these 7's, make sure you like the one you get cause you'll be upside down on a loan almost immediately.

Almost the exact same story as above down here. Purchased my CPO 2012 750Lxi with 22k miles about 5 wks ago. It's my first BMW and probably would not have considered it except my son, a BMW aficionado, drove me to a dealership in his new M5. I'm still discovering all the various & incredible features. This dream machine is fully loaded and had an original sticker price a tad over 6 digits. I saved over 35%, paid cash, and haven't looked back. Space gray metallic exterior with oyster and black Nappa leather interior. Handling, it reminds me of my very first car, a 1959 Chevy Impala. Wheelbase a little wider on my 750, but the length and width about 6" larger on the Impala. Of course, 50+ yrs later the BMW handles like a dream but the rear passenger room and parking remind me "of the old days."

Guess I'll be back in the market in 2017 when the CPO warranty is running out.

i would say 7 series

but that rear hit can cause a headache when you're looking to sell.

on the other hand, 2 years of warranty vs 1 year is a big difference.
