12V Starter Battery Issue - Refusing OTA

The last weeks (maybe since upgrade to 03/2024.33) I suddenly got several error messages about Increased power consumtion while parking. There is nothing in the car conneted to drain battery and the error message came both while plugged into AC charger and just parked overnight.

Now, when the car had downloaded OTA 03/2024.40 the car refuses install because of to low charge status on the 12V starter battery and tells me to drive for an extended period of time. Since this message came, I have driven several long trips (6 hours) and does not go away.

Suspecting a soon faulty 12V battery, but the car is just under 1 year and driven 26 000km (16 000 miles). Or is the .40 OTA a fix to the problem?

Anybody had problems with the 12V starter battery on their i7?
Anybody got similar error messages?

Measured the starter battery to 12,6 V when idle (did not disconnect the battery) and 14,5 V while AC charging.

If you have energy management warnings you need to bring your car to dealer and have it diagnosed. There’s no reason you shouldn’t already think about taking it to dealer. It’s likely not a battery, but something causing the battery to drain.

After a week wait for a slot at dealer and being given the tow truck number if I had to use my i7, I got a BMW 225e loaner. The XM or i5, next to the dirty 225e outside dealer, might have been more interesting and appropriate. And when picking up the car it would be nice if its charged back up to at least the level it was left.
-Hello BMW, is this the i7 experience?

Having owned 10 EV:s the last 10 years: i7 and iX are really good EV:s and i7 is the most comfortable on the planet. Both are now reliable, but to be honest they have been in far to often. Well aware of the software complexity and new technology, I have no problem with small issues and some recalls as long as BMW takes care of early customers. My early Taycan was possessed by bugs and some times refused to open (12V Starter battery issues), but at least I got to try most of the Porsche range and had fun while it was in.

Anyway:
1. 12V Starter battery was OK and no aging.

2. Multiple High Voltage system warnings cleared

3. Updated to 03/2024.47

All seems perfect, no noticable difference in .47 software so must all be small bug fixes. Hope one of them was Energy Management and fixed the refused OTA with warning of low 12V starter battery.
