I wouldn't say that the 7 is either quieter or smoother than the S. I would say the ride is a little more luxurious in the S class and slightly sportier in the 7.

Both are great. I was all set to order the 2013 LCI but now that we have to wait I will probably not pull the trigger until I see the new 2014 S class coming in 2013.

My guess from the pictures I have seen from the new S class that I will probably go with the 7er but something tells me the S class has to be nicer than it is looking. I am particularly referring to the interior.

Time will tell.

Sorry, just saw this. Active blind spot detection, night vision, and the active cruise control use radar emitting technology which confuses some radar detectors.

Driver Assistance Pkge, Active Cruise Control, and Night Vision use radar which causes some radar detectors false alarms.
