reverse camera lighting terrible?

I can take a picture but the reverse camera image at night on my 750 is god awful. Honestly looks like the white lights do nothing.

Is it just me?

The white lights really do nothing indeed. Gone are the times where reversing light filled its original design purpose, which was to illuminate the area behind the car. These days, manufacturers go with a bare minimum that is required by regulations, which is a white color reverse indicator.

Some manufacturers even install only one indicator, which severely compromises the angle of effectiveness. This stuff really needs some tighter regulations, because evidently, doing a right thing can't be left up to manufacturers.

Heck no! I was just saying this to my wife the other day. I actually got out of the car to see if they were illuminated! Brutal. I really wish there was something that could be done, but wiring something like that in would be a real pain.

Had to do that to ours. Seemed super dark compared to our G01 X3 before it and either one of my trucks all with 360 cameras and clear screens.
Adjusting that seemed to help some.

Hmmm...I currently have both the G12 740 and G01 X3 and I find the X3 to be darker.

Yes it's not great although I'd swear it was OK to begin with but now it's awful (I have nothing to back that thought up about it changing) this is on a MY22 730d

G01 was a 2018 and her G12 is a 22. Not sure if that has anything to do with it but just what we noticed.

Mine is the opposite - G01 is a 2020 (newer) while G12 is a '17 (older). G12 noticeably has clearer and cleaner image. Maybe words don't mean anything without photo so I will take a few when I get a chance.
