Comfort access stopped working

I have a 2015 750Li. The comfort access feature for my doors suddenly stopped working on all 4 doors. I have to use remote, just changed batteries on 2 remotes, to lock and unlock doors. The car does start with foot on brake and start button pushed. Does anyone have any ideas on a solution to this problem? Does anyone know where the diversity antenna is located on this model? I've I've done countless searches and all say the diversity antenna controls this feature. Some say it's the door handle. I can't see all 4 going bad all at the same time...
please help!!

Following, since I also have a similar problem. Mine doesnt lock the doors at all, but I know that the car recognizes the key because I can open the trunk without unlocking by the remote.
Also, it unlocks the car if i PULL the drivers door handle and AFAIK the comfort access should unlock the car if I touch the handle, not pull it. It only works on the drivers door handle and the trunk. Anybody encountered a similar issue?

Someone out there will know something. AFAIK, the door is unlocked when the handle is pulled and locked when you touch the ribbed part of the handle, as long as you have your fob on you. I may be wrong. Already took apart truck door liner to see if antenna was there. It wasn't. Checked all fuses associated with door locks. All good. Fuse panel behind glovebox was a nightmare. I couldn't see the top fuses listed on the chart. Had to lower glovebox door by disassembling the damper and pulling in the sides in to clear the stops. Someone posted online to remove battery cables to reset systems. will try that next.. I read you need to remove - then + then attach + then -

The CA door handles have a capacitive sensor on a circuit board in the handle that locks/unlocks the door handle. The communication path used when the door handles are physically touched is slightly different than the RF signal’s path when locking/unlocking using the remote fob. That's how the remote can work one way (ie pressing the button on the fob) but not the other way (the capacitive sensors in the door handle)

Mine doesn't show any faults regarding the comfort access on ISTA, but in reality the problem is still present. Any ideas?

If what you wrote in your quote above is correct…your CA door handles may be working correctly.

See the diagram that was previously posted above about the CA door handles…and also check your owners manual for correct usage for your model (in case its different).

There are 2 capacitive sensors…the ridges (#2) on the handle is were sensor (#6) LOCKS the car. There’s a sensor on the handle (#4) where you pull to UNLOCK…you shouldn’t have to actually pull…but your hand needs to touch the sensor in a specific area…you can’t just touch the handle anywhere.

EDIT:

Example from my f06 owners manual as where to touch the door handle for CA lock/unlock:

I tested the methods you are talking about, unfortunately without any luck.
Here is a short video of how the CA works ATM.

You may have a bad CA (comfort access) door handle. This topic shouldn’t be hard to find doing a google search for “replacement BMW CA door handle”. There are also several good videos on youtube. The procedure is the same for the F chassis 5/6/7 series. The 6 series may have extra gaskets around the door (when you open it) due to the way it operates…but once you pull the gasket away…the screw that holds the handle to the door is in the same place as the 5 & 7 series.

Sometimes the door may not have locked because you also have the “soft close” option and the door may not be locking when you press/touch the ridges during the soft close procedure.

Is this the only door handle that this occurs on? If yes, then again you may want to do a search for replacing CA door handle. A failing CA door handle can also drain your car’s battery…so be on the watch for any check control messages about your battery being in a discharged state.

This is the only door handle that works at all, so that probably means all 4 of them are shot. Thank you for explaining anyway.

Thanks for all your posts and diagrams. in my situation all 4 handles stopped working at the same time. Brand new batteries in remotes. Supposedly there is an antenna or antennas that the CA talks to when the key fob is present. I think it's called the Diversity antenna. Can't find a location of that antenna. 2015 F02 750Li

With the introduction of CA (comfort access)...BMW started using more aerials around the car (interior & exterior) that communicates with the remote fob. You can see the 9 CA aerials used in the F01/F02 below.

B207: Ring Aerial

E23: Exterior Aerial Driver Side

E83: Exterior Aerial Front Pass Side

E28 & E36: Luggage Compartment Aerials 1 & 2

E84: Interior Aerial Center Console Front

E22: Interior Aerial Center Console Rear

E74: Interior Aerial rear parcel shelf

E27: Rear Bumper Aerial

Is there a manual available showing how to take a part a door handle itself?
