I agree that the instrument cluster should be white for the ///M versions of every series, and the red/orange for everything else.

I understand that this is the "flagship" of BMW, but the red/orange should be there.

Just my opinion.

It occurs to me that an M version of the V12 could be the heart of that so announced "supercar" from BMW,... and I know we'd all love to see that!!!

BMW M Turbo V12 ~700hp =

Meantime this 760 is just BEAUTIFUL!

700hp or thereabout should definitely be possible. The MB S600 which introduced the 493hp bi-turbo engine back in 2003 can be tuned by Renntech to produce 640hp and 775 torque, while the S65 which has a 6.0L engine goes up to 685/870 respectively.

Now THIS is more like it!

High power, understated looks, Q car deluxe.

Seems BMW still does some things very right.

The new 7-series has blue illumination for the daytime and switches to Amber at Dusk.

You guys have to do some more research. Currenty only M models feature bright white instrument clusters...used to differntiate themselves from the Series models.

For the first time on a BMW the instrument cluster comprises a high-resolution colour display with Black Panel technology. This new style of display makes for greater character clarity and, when not in use, forms a smooth, homogenous black surface that gives the interior an added level of modern elegance.

In other words the cluster produces a bright white readout during the day for visibility, and then turns to a soft orange glow at night. This technology can also be found in the modern Merc S-Class and other Japanse counterparts. Nightime pic below. This is one the most elegant well designed interiors I've laid eyes on!

Check this web site- click the 7 series multimedia highlights, then watch the "on the road" video. It a great visual!! http://www.bmw.com/com/en/index.html

It looks absolutely stunning.

From what I can tell so far, the only change they applied to the 760 instrument cluster over the 750 is that the bottom of the two chrome rings show up in blue rather than white (to simulate the chrome).

Official Press Release:
The official press release states 0-100km/h (0-62mph) as 4.6 seconds, so I would assume that the 0-60mph acceleration would be somewhere along the line of 4.4 to 4.5 seconds!

Another interesting fact is that the 760i and 760Li are listed with the same acceleration time. The 750i on the other hand is 0.1 second faster than the 750Li. Weight for the 760i is only 70kg less than the 760Li!

So once Shiv@Vishnu is done you have a 900+ hp engine, then you bring the car over to Dinan who will add another 200+ hp so you have a 1100+ hp engine. Since that's not nearly enough for a 5000+ lb car, bring it back to Shiv@Vishnu so he can add yet another 300+ hp... Now you have 1400+hp under the hood ... PERFECT!!! Now we are talking

I think if anybody would go and tweak that engine a LOT higher, they better beef up the cooling along with it or see all those pretty plastic pieces melt right out from under the hood!

Maybe another 100+ hp, but going from 544hp to 900+ hp???

Warranty and reliability is out the window and heat is building up faster than you can cook eggs on your stove

I wonder when this car will actually become available (will start shipping from the factory)?

My wife just asked me... If I like the 760 better?

Well DOH... what a question. She told me I should change my order. I would, but I don't want to wait yet another couple more month!
