Her latest write up of me was retaliation in participating in another employees complaint against her.

How do I know? Because during our meeting she stated 'you can go back and talk to HR about this' in obvious reference to my prior meeting with them.

Don't know the full story but this seems to have come to a "he said she said" situation between you and your manager with HR. Looks like she could be in the process of documenting the reasons for termination with HR.

You can't control what others do but always be professional. Create an audit trail of events when necessary (e.g. e-mail, letter, etc). Think about the path you want to take before acting on it.

if they let him go they'll likely have to continue to pay him a percentage of his salary. they can fight it but it still costs them. if he quits, he has no options.

i'm not a fan of some of the processes but if they're as ridiculous as they sound then maybe it's worth while making them pay at least a little bit.

I'd just keep doing what you're doing at a minimal until they let you go and collect unemployment until you find something better. The place sounds like a real shit hole to be honest. Too much drama over what seems very petty.
