They stick out like a sore thumb in that luxury-type interior. But would look good in a more sporty interior.

I don't like where BMW placed them. They're in the perfect spot on the current M wheel -- very easy to access compared to the new M5 steering wheel.

I do like the new location for the heated steering wheel button, but in every other regard the current M wheel is driving perfection.

I'm not a big fan of the new shifter design either, but at least it has a park button now!

I feel like the red is going to distract my eye that high up in my line of vision. Kind of like a pesky check engine light lol!!!

I for one like them. It's sets the car apart from say a G30 540i.

Steering wheel has empty spaces. No reason for them to be in the same place as shift paddles.

The blanks on the left are not filled in because the photographed car doesn't come with all the driving assistance options. This picture shows a completely filled up steering wheel on a G30.

I'm a bit disappointed with the exterior of the G30 in general and the M5 doesn't look aggressive enough for me BUT the interior is stunning and sells the car IMHO.

Can you elaborate on what you consider "aggressive?"

Not for me as it needs flares at the rear, I get why they can't do it as the car would be too wide but there it is.

it is a nice change of pace.

though it would have been more stealth to hide it somewhere on the steering wheel Like all previous M cars do.

But then again this is the fastest BMW as of right now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
