Swirl Mark Removal

Other than clear coating an entire panel, is there any way to permanently remove swirl mark holograms caused by a power buffer wheel?

The detailer at the dealership says glaze, but I've researched same and it seems to be temporary!?

And, does anyone know of a very good detailer near the Five Towns (Hewlett, Woodmere, Cedarhurst, Lawrence, etc.) on Long Island?

Passed by a body shop and turned around to see what they would recommend. Said they would wet sand the areas for $200. I'm not saying I'm going to necessarily go this route, but any comments on wet sanding to remove swirl marks? I believe wet sanding to remove 'fish eyes' is what caused this in the first place...

Oh boy don't know where to start.

I finished our 750li about a month ago, did a full detail spent about 60 hours on the car. Used Menzerna SIP + Orange Pad, Manzerna Power Finish + White Pad, Manzerna 8500RD + Black Pad. The marks can be removed but it is a lot of work. I will be posting my work in the next few weeks. I just got into the whole detailing thing and the 7 was the first car I polished + sealed + waxed.

60 hours is a lot of time.
blk is incredibly hard color to work with. Can't wait to see the results.

yep it was also my lack of experience contributed to it. Started hand washing cars about 4 months before that. I used to take the cars to the auto wash places. Off course everyone knows what happens there. Also the 7 had hail damage and a fender bender. After it came back from the shop it looked pretty bad. I probably only got 70%-80% correction but boy did the car look different. Spent a total of $4k on different supplies leading up to the detail, kind of like a mini hobby. We have 5 black cars in the house so it is well worth it. The steps I performed were.

Exterior :

Soak with Dawn
Rinse
Clean tailpipe , wheel wheels grills, door handles with P21S and Swissvax brush
Wheels cleaned with Sonax full effect.
Soak and wash with CG citrus gloss
Wipe down with CG monster yellow towel
Soaked with Iron cut for 5 minutes
Soak and wash with CG citrus gloss
Clayed using CG light clay and CG luber
Vapor cleaned engine with Unilux 3000
Soak and wash with CG citrus gloss
Tape down
1st Step polish PO203S and CCS Green pad (but this was the wrong green pad big reason why I did not active a better correction, I realized this only after I finished and was going through a autogeeks )
2nd step polish PO88RD and CCS White pad
In some parts of the car I used PO83 with CCS Orange pad
Flex XC3401 for 6.5" and 5" pads
PC 7424XP for 4" pads
Wipe down with 50/50 solution
Cleaned gaps and panels for left over polish with alcohol and cotton swabs
Soak and wash with CG citrus gloss
EZ Creme Glaze on Blue Pad
1st layer JetSeal on CCS Gold Pad
Wipe down after 30min and let sit for 30 min
2nd layer JetSeal on CCS Gold Pad
Wipe down after 30min and let sit overnight
1st layer CG 5050 wax with CCS Gold hand pad and let sit for 30min
2nd layer CG 5050 wax with CCS Gold hand pad and let sit for 30min
Final wipe down with CG Hybrid V7
Wheel wells cleaned with CG Grim reaper
Front Wheel wells with CG Barebones
Applied CG Wheel Wax
Glass cleaned with Stoners

The interior was a completely different animal, took almost 2-3 hours per each door. I will list the steps in another post.
