Dead Water Pump on F01 750i
Just thought I would let you guys know about a water pump failure on our 2009 750i. Supposedly it was the turbo's water pump, and had my mother continued to drive the car after the "Engine is too hot, pull over" message she could have blown the turbo and the repair wouldn't have been covered under warranty. Just thought I would let you guys know, in case you get something similar.

My mom happened to be right near the dealer when she got the message so she drove it carefully to the dealer.
iDrive didn't say it wouldn't be covered, but the car told her not to drive it, so BMW could use that against us if the turbos had blown. Basically, the car told you to stop and you didn't so it's your fault. Luckily that didnt happen and we had the car back 3 days later.
