I would go a bit further and choose the LS also over this. And maybe even the Genesis - different class, without the "prestige", but it offers a hell lot for the price. Looks a bit better than this.

Same story different car, BMW forum people crack me up.

Spy Photo's - All Negative "I hate it, its so ugly, look at the swirly paint, what are they thinking?"
Production Photo's - Mixture "Looks great to me" or "WTF?! Worst design ever, Brand XYZ's model ABC is SOOOO much better!"
Production M-Sport Photo's - Positive "OMG, I LOVE THE NEW BMW XYZ M-SPORT, BEST LOOKING BMW EVAR!"

I should really save this in a notepad or something.

----

Looks nice to me, sure its a boring "luxury" model, still, looks like nice contemporary BMW that should age well. Can't wait to see what the Laser Lights look like lit up and curious if the price for them will still be as high as for the i8.

Sure, Brand XYZ's model ABC might be pretty hot right now, today, but BMW has a talent of making cars who's designs stand the test of time. Check out Brand XYZ's previous model ABC and see how dated it looks. Sure, in part because of the new model ABC, but also in part because their designs are too crazy and their cars just don't age well. When people look ask me what year my e46 is they tend to not believe that the car is 11 (nearly 12) years old.

If wild crazy designs are what you crave, then BMW is not the right brand for you, go with Brand XYZ, Lexus or whatever else is supposedly on the same "level" as the 7er, and enjoy it until they release the G11 M-Sport.

EDIT: Also, call me crazy, but it seems like Brand XYZ is trying to combine their regular sedans and gran-coupe sedans, morphing them into one car, where BMW is still making them both. So perhaps Brand XYZ's model ABC should be compared to the rumored Gran-Coupe like 7er that is rumored for future production, not necessarily the G11. Perhaps the G11 is better suited for BMW's traditional customers.

I can agree with that. The XJ, now a six year old car, has a better looking interior than a 2016 7 series.

I can't believe I just said that.

This is pre-production as the G chassis hasn't gone to production yet. However this is definitely final trim and finish minus the wheels. There are always pre-production models that the manufacturers build to exact production trim and finish, used for press releases, marketing, dealer appearances, etc. Not sure if BMW didn't have a set of production wheels to put on and just slapped these black ones on to get the car to its destination or simply to keep everyone guessing until the car is officially launched, who really knows and truthfully doesn't matter as we now have a clear look at what the final car looks like. The interior is certainly the final trim, it has all the new design language that BMW is doing on interiors(for better or worse is subjective) and this interior is nothing like the F01 interior. And for all those people that are bashing this car saying the W222 MB and the Audi A8 are clear winners, I will reserve my final decision after I see the G11 in black sapphire and msport trim. Yes the W222 is a home run and I personally love the look the the S-class, especially with AMG sport package, but it's on average 20-30k more expensive than a similar equipped F01, we'll see if the gap closes with the G11. For now, I will wait for more photos in different trim and colors.

BMW in general has lost their touch. Boring designs, boring rides, nothing special to make me go to the dealer and get another one.

They are not as much of a luxury step up as they have been in the past, as even low end carmakers have been providing better quality offerings now.

Bar the i models. The i3 is something special. Its the only new bmw i might get in the future. Swaped my boring x3 for the macan and starting now to collect the future classics. 2014 a z4m coup. 2015 either an m3 csl or a v10 beast. The m235i is good but with m2 coming up...but yeah they need to bring someone like bangle. Perhaps withthe soon change in the board things might spice up again. If not porsche dealeris only a few miles away

Very disappointing exterior design. The chrome parts are a little too much for my taste. The interior looks decent, I am sure the tech will be great with the new touch screen idrive.

Um, no it's not. The base S550 starts at 94k, while a 750xDrive starts at 80k. The car us ugly in standard trim. I hope the M Sport does something drastic.

Both cars fitted with EVERYTHING:

One of you guys to say this but naw.. No one did.

ANYWAYS BRUH. This is obviously a pre production model.. Tires and wheels aren't even for the car. Interior looks like a current 7 series interior with a few changes, it
Could be that they were testing drivetrain and suspension with this model when it was caught.

And, I doubt this was a "spy shot". you think BMW will let a car leave the factory or whatever without camo? They could of possibly let this slide
On purpose, to gain hype and maybe surprise us. BMW talks about next generation 7 series with a lot of confidence.

I'm digging the new headlights (although don't think they should touch grill), digging the new Foglights, digging the rear end a lot but I don't like that chrome strip. I HATE chrome on cars. HATEEEE. I vinyl wrap all chrome on my cars.

Anyways, good car overall. But this is obviously pre production.. And not the final product.

SCOTT WHERE U AT BUDDY LOOKING FOR YOUR FEEDBACK REGARDING THIS CAR!!!!!!

arty00 30:
I know right. He talked so much hot air saying the spy shot interiors are not how the production will be and they are still doing the design. Pure BS coming from that guys posts. He (Scott26) even challenged me it will be different. yah right interior is sure different!
