Dealer Design Scheme Overhaul!?
Today a service advisor told me that BMWNA is mandating a new design scheme for its dealers that will include earth tones (brown and green colors and wood) as well as open floorplans with no cubicles.
I'm usually up to date on these matters, but hadn't heard of same and question a shift to earth tones from BMW's iconic white, grey, glass and metal look, earth tones being more fitting for Land Rover Jaguar! MBUSA recently overhauled its dealers with its Autohaus design concept, which looks great, but earth tones for BMW!? Anyone hear of this? Any photos / renderings? Someone tell me I'm wrong, please. |

I know that BMW of Nashville has built a whole new facility. I used to use Baron BMW in KC, which has an awesome spiraling ramp showroom. They told me before I moved that they'd be abandoning it because of BMW's new design mandate.
I hadn't heard of the colors involved but it sounds nice. It'll probably feature a lot of european style wood.

Thanks.
Just found this: http://www.bmwblog.com/2014/10/13/bm...an-renovation/ I've visited BMW of Manhattan several times over the years spanning before and after the renovation. Noticed the renovation, but wouldn't say it rises to what I was told recently. It's a very minor facelift and looks good. That said, likely what's coming to all dealers. Mercedes' Autohaus concept is far more extensive and iconic. |
