i guess its either the white plastic film used while shipping or I have seen a clear film applied to areas on a car that are prone to stone chips, like around the wheel arch. not sure on a 7

Looking back at your other thread you were in week 39 build and I@m week 40 so hopefully this means mine will go into build next week. Be interesting to see if yours arrives early or its grouped onto one ship.......

I'd be more concerned that you are missing the TT 8 Cylinder engine but seriously why so many diesels for EU buyers? Is it because they cost less?

Hey I'm very happy to be wrong, I thought the key was to see the 6CP option on the list as this gave you the either the software necessary version or the hardware (wifi/bluetooth) that was necessary.

As far as I can tell from the forums, you and a X5 owner/dealer seem to be the only ones to reveal carplay is even in existence!

Haha -- well I can buy any car if I want mileage. So that's the reason folks in EU buy the D's ... I never would have guessed 7 buyers were looking for an econo box.

Did you order/pay for the CarPlay option? If so then I'd call your sales advisory and have it sorted out. Cars ordered in August in US can get CarPlay - not sure about EU.

@ $7.41 per gallon, it becomes important. I have had three 3.0 diesels and I was perfectly happy with all of them. I tried the 740d and couldn't feel the real difference. The 520d I have on loan on the other hand is so tiresome!

But he isn't in the US is he? MY17 EU cars all have it as an option in the Connected drive app store. There is no option code to order.
