HELP new 09' 750li looking for a few upgrades and changes
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com 1 The interior trim is the Ash wood and I would really like a Piano black high gloss. Has anyone done a wrap to their trim like this? Good/bad idea? Does it last? 2 Want to do a dinan stage 1 bought car in FL live in NC. From what I read it sounds like best idea is to do at home where I can go back to dealer. Few questions. Anyone done this with Leith BMW in Raleigh? If so happy? Can you negotiate price? The $3500 is steep. I would do immediately at $2500, cHas anyone offered a lower price and got it? 3 Want blk kidney grills. Anyone know where to get? 4 Want to upgrade all lighting to 6k. I am in south florida now and would like to do immediately if possible. Suggestions? 5 Looking to get Alpina wheels. 6 MTech front bumper. where to get? 7 Can you add ceramic controls. I love the look of the ceramic, I am looking to do a few other things as well but this is a good start. My f02 has sport, conv, drive asst, prem sound, lux seat, HUD |

3 Want blk kidney grills. Anyone know where to get? -turner motorsport http://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW-...rior-body.aspx 6 MTech front bumper. where to get? -realOEM.com http://www.realoem.com/BMW/ 7 Can you add ceramic controls. I love the look of the ceramic, -yes you can, but you will need to buy a control unit for each part (for example, you need to buy the ceramic gear lever AND its own new control unit. same with a/c controls and radio/volume knob...) |

Thanks
Appreciate the help. I will check into all items now. Sounds like adding the ceramic controls might get very expensive. Any idea approx how much?

anytime!!
here in the middle east, to retrofit ceramic controls costs about $6,000. that is TEN times how much it would have costed to add the option before the car was manufactured. personally, i couldn't justify it no matter how much i wanted them. instead, i decided to buy the front and rear idrive controllers in ceramic, alongside a wooden gear selector lever (which attaches to the original part without additional ecu expense). for $6000 you might want to consider: -exhaust (eisenmann, dinan, supersprint, etc.) -ecu tune (hartge, dinan, velos, active autowerke?, etc.) finally, here's a better link for the m front bumper: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...62&hg=51&fg=15 |

holy!!! $6k for the ceramic control addition? Thats just nuts. I am def going to do the Dinan tune. Hoping to find someone who successfully used Leith BMW in Raleigh NC who did this. I am in S Florida now and could get done here but would prefer to use a local shop in case of any issues. Read quite a bit about it here and a little frightening that some have had done and felt no change,

Lowering car and wheel size
So ordered the blk kidneys, about to do lighting. I am also going to wrap trim in piano black. I have the ash wood and do not like. Want to lower the car a little. Any suggestions on best springs? What is best wheel size? I am thinking 20" vossen cv4's. Anyone else have this set up I can see a pic of?

Lowest springs: h&r super sport I have 21inch OEM wheels on my 7 and feel they're a bit small. 22's look best in my opinion (adv1, agetro, hre).. Don't know how much you will lose out on comfort though.. Good luck |

Springs / Wheel
I am not sure why but seems like most people go with the HR. Running 22's seems excessive to me. I like the Vossen 20's. Think I will wait and see if I can pick up a slightly used set by looking at forums over the next few months. With any luck I will be able to get a set.

Yah, H&R seems like the popular choice, not sure why but maybe the H&R's are the only ones that work best with the leveling suspension on the LI models? I think 22's look sick on the 7er but for everyday driving I would go with 20's or 21's.
