I've been trying since I got the car. The problem is with the MAFs. The pipe size and shape has to remain exactly the same as stock to keep them reading right. And the pipe is a weird shape. I tried Burger, they say theres not a big enough market to warrant the R&D. I think thats BS because the 550, 650, 750, B7, X5 50i and X6 50i all use the same airboxes. I'm working on K&N now, but they don't think its promising.

K&N says theres a slight change we may get drop-ins, but no cold air kit.

I think the only option we really have at this point is the prove to Burger, aFe, and whoever else that there is a market for it. I have a hard time believing that with all the N63s sold since 09, that there aren't at least a couple thousand people interested.

Actually I looked at venting the hood and/or fenders. Fenders are totally blocked off from the engine bay. The hood could be done, but with the way its sculpted, it'll be a real nuisance to get any sort of louvers or anything to fit right.

Dinan lists a cf intake, does it work on all F01s?

Its a horrible design. Not only does it keep the panel filters, it also bypasses the MAF, which confuses the computer (which is why they require one of their tunes for it). It'll work for you, but you'll also need their tune for it. Looking at like $6k OTD.
