Wow. i must really say im disappointed. after seeing camo's in person, over and over, i never thought that the 7 series would let me down. it looked very promising, yet all 7 lovers should be disapointed, this is an ugly design, the back looks very similar to the Lexus, with an even uglier shape. the front lights look IDENTICAL to the recent lights, just with a minor face lift. the Interior, i will say i have seen way better. No idea what BMW is thinking here.

On the bright side...the grille and headlights look nice.

This shot looks great. If they'd fix the bumper I might have hope for it.

Don't know how they'll save the rear in the facelift though.

The car front looks more sporty and elegant compare to the previous model. However, the rear looks little bulky and dissapointing with those tail lights. the Interior is very nice and more sporty, and center console is more functional now and driver oriented. This is the kind of designs people will appreciate over time.

I think when we put high expectations and the final product comes little short, then it's normal to have a negative reaction. I think part of it is that people were putting lots of emphasis on the CS design and hoping that the 7 would carry some of those wild design cues...anyway, I presonally think the the tail light design of the x6 would look really nice on the new 7, maybe with little tweaks. Lets wait and see more photos of the car front other angles.

it wouldn't have been that bad if they didn't get carried away with the grilles lol =/ ...

overall...it reminds me of an Infiniti G35 sedan (body lines, especially from the rear 3/4 angle) and I30 (tail-light lines) and Lexus LS ... :$

on a positive note, the interior is really nice !

I guess I'll be one in the minority, and go on record as liking it. Compared to the elongated, featureless A8, the disproportionate and hideous s 'class' or the boring, extended-length-camry ls460, it looks great, blending elegance and sportiness. And I'd bet good money it'll drive better than all of them put together and multiplied.

Cant wait to see more.

I dont know if anyone noticed, but it seems BMW showed a F01 AND a F02. The beige car is F02 (note the longer wheelbase) and the F01 is swb. Note the different exhausts.

Call me crazy, but the E65 has always been my favorite 7. While previous models look classy, the E32 and E38 lack the wow factor of the E65.

In my opinion, it looks the F01 has taken off where the E38 left off. Sure it looks classy, but it lacks the wow factor of the E65.

Honesty, I am not surprised in the result of the F01. After looking at the mules, I could tell that this 7 was going to be more boring. I figure BMW got so many complaints regarding the E65 at first, that when they started development of the F01 they decided to go more conservative. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the F01 sells less than the E65, especially since the S Class went from conservative to controversial and is now more appealling to me than the 7.

A step back IMO, sad. Hopefully an 8-series 4 door coupe is on the horizon that is a ringer for the CS!

I usually hate on Lexus, but I do think that the LS is the best looking large sedan out there right now. For that reason, I like the back of this new 7 series. That front grill though ... could it be any bigger? Had BMW shrunk it down to 80% of that size BMW would've been golden in my eyes. What a shame.

Wow, I'm gonna completely go back on my original opinion after surfing the web and looking at the same pics, but more high res versions.

I...I like it. Damn, haha this happens with almost every Bimmer design. I mean, I even like the front bumper (after seeing the high res shots of course). I like the way the upper crease of it mirrors the lower edge of the headlights, and that trim helps too, whatever it is. Sure, it could be better, but I'm okay with this current piece.

I even like the grille, but then again I was always in favor of the CS's overblown grille from the start.

My only complaint that still resides is that the taillight treatment is still god-awfully hideous.

Oh and the interior looks absolutely fine. And yes, I was swearing about how awful it was a couple of hours ago. Call me fickle.

Exactly. The grilles are way too big, and the tail-lights are just butt ugly.

BMW... FAIL.

Yeah Bimmer designs usually looks better when you get used to them. You learn to appreciate the more controversial designs in time. What high res pics? I want to see them!
