Angel Eyes conversion

I went to a reputable car accessory shop who had LED lights for my angle eyes. It was super white and he insisted that no error light would show up as it had resistors, balast blah blah blah. Also stated on the rear of the box that it was for F01/F02 and made in Taiwan. Installed it in a few minutes and it looked WOW! BUT the bloody error message showed up for left and right bulbs. I was so damn bloody upset as I really liked it. However the error message would only show up IF the DTRL were set on through settings. If it was turned off and the lights turned on manually or automaticly, the error message would not show up at all. However I do turn on the DTRL in the day sometimes, say when I am entering Ritz Carlton....

So in the end I settled for Philips 5000K(made in germany) halogens which is not as white but brighter than the LED's, has a tint of yellow in it but it works well, no error messages and comes with a 3 month warranty. I paid US$65 for it installed. The LED's cost US$150.

My verdict: It works and it sure beats the stock bulbs!

So this is how it looks after the conversion and the bulbs in the box package below is the stock one's.

Here are the photos taken in broad daylight although it was raining all day. Now if just the DTRL are on, it looks nice and white but when the headlights are on, it's more yellowish. BUT with the LED's, one ring is brighter than the other which I am not very fond of either, with these Philip bulbs, both rings are bright.

Why can't we use the bulbs supplied on the F10 5 Series on our F01 7 Series' to achieve the same effect? Someone stated their dealership's service department stated that the headlamp designs are totally different? Is this true?
