Mini Fridge in Car!

Something fun... I took my i7 on on an SF to Las Vegas trip a week or two ago but before I went I purchased a sweet little mini "fridge" to keep drinks and sandwiches cold during the trip. It worked out wonderfully and I even used it in my hotel room.

It can only hold about 6 cans of soda; or alternatively a can and a sandwich or two, or a few water bottles. It's very small inside and weighs less than two pounds. It comes with both an AC cord AND a separate 12V cigarette lighter power supply for your car.

I kept it on my front seat but it also fits perfectly in the rear seat pass-through for guests (sorry, Luxury Rear Seating Package owners in the US). Best of all, I originally bought it for all of $29 but now it's $27 believe-it-or-not!

Below are two photos of it:

1. Amazon's web page; and
2. Shown in the rear seat pass-through of my car

Maybe paint it black but as much as I love your usual posts this looks like a set of spinner hubcaps. I hear the banjos playing out yonder by the cement pond pa.

I appreciate your thoughts (and thank you for the mini-compliment), but HEY, they DO come in a number of other colors including black!

Ultimately though, I mention this because over the last year I've read posts from folks pondering keeping cold beverages in the car for their guests -- an extension of the luxury a G70 asserts -- so I'm sure somebody might find this of interest. I know it's amusing to invoke images of pick-up trucks filled with beers and gun racks, etc., but it was actually a godsend for me on my 10-hour car ride! It even has practical applications at home (e.g., convenient bedside or in-home storage of cold water or for nursing mothers' milk, a few cold brews handy on a deck, on and on), so at $27 for those a little less image-concerned, this fun and uber-cute product is a complete steal!

I KNOW, inni't?!! Just, uh, not great for a solo ride -- unless you're a 6'11" basketball player ifyouknowwhatimean.

And if BMW sold it as an official accessory -- whaddya wanna bet you'd be looking at about $699!?!
