It honestly looks like the combo of a Lexus, a Hyundai Tiburon, and a little of a Scion FRS. And thats a god awful combo. The rear looks terrible in my opinion.

Wut.

Compared to the boring and lackluster look of the m4 or m235i, this thing looks good for a "sports" car.
Not to speak on BMWs current lineup: from the rear, the new 3 series sedan looks just like the 5 series and 7 series with the exception of that silver bar that runs from light to light:

The RC-F Doesn't have any outrageous spoiler or body kit like the civic type-s prototype but is aggressive enough so the people on the streets know its not your typical lexus.
Let's just hope they don't overprice this thing.
Good lord, I keep forgetting how snooze fest-worthy modern BMWs are.

Everybody said the Japanese were too conservative with styling. Now Lexus is being aggressive (and doing well IMHO) and somehow it's an issue. BMWs these days look like they've got the laziest design team on the planet.

2013 BMW F30  [0.00]
2014 BMW F22  [0.00]

Hmm, interesting. Definitely on the "liberal" side of most modern designs. If they wanted to go with a more aggressive/atypical Lexus look.. they definitely achieved it.

Agree, although the part about this I find the most strange is that BMW's head of design (Adrian Van Hooydonk) is literally the same guy that penned the 'waaay out there' E65. I don't know what caused him to go from one extreme to the other.

BMW having boring designs doesn't make this car look any less fugly. I always found, actually still find the IS-F to be a great looking car. Why they had to go transformers route is beyond me.

Well, you don't know that Edward Lee, who is behind Lexus spindle grill, is a former Audi designer.

I'd rather have a C63 AMG, but I'd take the RC-F over the M3/M4. I really like what I'm seeing from Mercedes at the moment. Finally, they got their ish together it seems.

It's the same guy to be honest. Blipit has like 50 of the 60 negative posts about the RCF's design in this topic

He basically comes in once a week and posts the same thing.

Until Lexus comes out with a dual clutch or manual I don't want to drive a "sporty" car with automatic

It's coming. 2nd or 3rd year of production apparently.

If the M4 was a Lexus he wouldn't drive it.

Lexus moving way too slowly with new tech, e.g. turbo 4 and dual clutch. I guess it's worth the wait for them to nail down reliability.

I agree. They are slow to the party.

Lexus is trying to make more of a move into the performance side of things and probably appeal to the younger generation.
