Headlamp / Fog Lamp Coding Question

Is there any way to code the car so that when the headlamps turn on automatically, the foglamps turn on too? And if you want to turn off the fog lamps, you can press the button? Thanks!

BMWs used to work this way. However, this was prior to their transition to a stateless switching system.

The 1997 3 series had a fog light switch that would stay on. And only turn on when you turned on the headlamps.

In this day and age of keeping costs down, I am sure BMW does not was to pay for fog light failures.

So, you have to hit the button to get your money's worth.

it's probably more to do with the fact that it's illegal to have them on unless it's actually foggy
