Questions about 750i

Hello everyone,

I am going to buy a new 750i (F01) from 2009 soon. I just have a few more questions about it:

1. The car I am currently looking at has the rear comfort seat with massage function and rear entertainment. It is a four seater. Is the boot space a bit smaller due to the comfort rear seats or does that just apply when you have a fridge as well?

2. Seeing the car is from 2009 does it already have EfficientDynamics?

Thank you very much for your help guys...

I don't believe it will be smaller. Just be CERTAIN it has had the "N63 Customer Care Pkg" performed!!!

Does that apply for UK cars as well?

Here is a picture of a BMW boot with the rear comfort seats and fridge.
As you can see the boot is a bit smaller compared to a normal 7 series.

Oh snap! Yeah I forgot about that fridge!

And I would definitely inquiry with your local dealer or BMW cust service about the campaign.

I just had a look if BMW did this "recall" in the UK as well and unfortunately they did not. It is not covered at all. I guess it is due to having not so many petrol engines registered of BMW 7 series over here. Most of the people here drive the 730d.

To directly answer your two questions, assuming the car doesn't have a fridge in the truck it is not greatly affected by the seats. I believe there are a few minor differences in the firewall between the trunk and the seats but they don't affect the size of the truck really at all so you are good there.

No BMW doesn't have efficient dynamics on their 2009 7 series. Efficient dynamics really were a bunch of smoke and mirrors with auto engine stop and brake regeneration of some sort. Of far greater importance is the transmission. In the 2009 they used a 6 speed auto which wasn't bad, but they upgraded it to the 8 speed in there now later on which gave vastly better mileage more than making up any difference that efficient dynamics would give.

Good luck!

When did BMW introduce the 8 speed automatic?

Specs look fully loaded. As for when the 8 speed came out if memory serves it was in the 2013 model refresh. You can tell by looking at them if the headlights are blue led vs whiteish yellow that the 2009-2012s have. For the money the 3 years older is so much cheaper and almost exactly the same I'd go for the older one personally.

The car I am looking at is £17.000 so around $27.000 that is a good price over here considering it has everything you need.
