Comfort Access Range

Is there any way to increase the range of comfort access on our cars? I often find myself needing to step closer and put my pocket next to the door / trunk in order for them to unlock / open…

Sounds like your battery is depleted. Please replace the battery in your key fob and see if the distance slightly increases to be more useful.

Wow, I got my 750 xdrive in November. Surprisingly, I had to change the battery in February. Maybe the initial batteries are the new green type that cost twice as much, lasts half as long and have half the dangerous chemicals...oh, wait, doesn't all that add up to a poisonous battery that works twice as long with twice as many contaminants as the green battery?

Green crap is just that...crap.

My battery lasted about a year and a half before it started to throw a nice up every time I got into the car. It still worked though. It just reminded me that the key fob battery should be replaced...

That's on the remote I normally use. The second remote which only gets used once in a blue moon is still going strong...

It sounds like there is something wrong with your keyfob. How often do you press the keys on it?

Also, my dealership replaces the batteries for free...
