Shot in a Studio

Got a chance to shoot in a studio yesterday. It sure beats light painting (though you don't get an interesting background).

Here's the lighting setup:

I think you did an awesome job. Those are magazine quality shots. Nice angles, nice lighting , nice car, and i like the tire prints all over the ground.

How did you arrange this?

Funny how we see things differently.
These are really great shots. I love the angles, colours, light and the almost liquid-like reflections in some shots.
But . . . . for me. . . the pristine shots are let down a little by the tyre marks.

I understand this, on the other hand I kind of like the tyre marks!

I get it too. No tire marks would make for a perfectly flawless photo. But thats the inherent flaw. Perfection can be sterile and uninteresting. Flaws are unique and bring character to an object or photo.

The tire tracks are like Cindy Crawford's mole. The pictures would be outstanding either way but the tire marks bring a little character to the photo

**Should of quoted Allachie9 on that**

That's extremely well put. I'm going to have to rethink my views on perfection

As someone once said (not me, or about me, I hasten to add) -
'If only I had a little humility, I'd be absolutely perfect'

This is not a "natural" setting, so I'd expect the tire marks to be removed. Would you do a 72" print and hang it on your wall with the tire marks, just because they're there? I don't think so. They'd be annoying as hell and EVERYONE would see and comment on them, negatively.
