Exclamation Safety Recall For BMW M760i - Vehicles at risk of oil leaking onto Brakes!

BMW of North America is recalling certain model year 2017-2018 BMW M760Li xDrive vehicles due to oil cooler lines that may loosen and leak.

Quote:
The affected vehicles have engine oil cooler lines that may loosen, causing an oil leak in the engine compartment.

The leaking engine oil may get onto the front brake disks, lengthening the distance needed to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

BMW will notify owners of the recalled M760Li xDrive vehicles, and local BMW dealers will inspect the engine oil cooler lines, replacing them as necessary, free of charge.

This recall is expected to begin on June 1, 2017. Vehicle owners with additional questions can contact BMW customer service at (800) 525-7417.

To find out if your vehicle is affected by this recall, you can enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's

That's terrible and unacceptable whether it's a BMW or chinese crap
Given the number of cars assuming only 760s affected this should not stir the things up as it would do in 3,5,X Series

True! But on any brands "Flagship". And one that costs $150k+ and limited at that, you would think quality control would be at it's highest.

I'm not sure which scenario is better, but the recall for my car tuned out to be for replacing the cooler lines for the turbocharges.
