750e range dropped by more than 10% after only 1000km

Anyone knows how BMW calculates the estimated range ? When I got the vehicle it had an estimated range of 84km after driving about 1000km it now reads 73km on a full charge. It seems like a big drop in such a short time.

I believe it's based on your driving style. Mine was showing 79km when I got the car, however dropped to 72km for certain days. For the 2 past charges, I been getting 80km instead. Check your MyBmw app and will able to tell your usage.

Temperature, acceleration, elevation....all these will affect each estimated range between charges.

same in M760e - its based on your previous energy usage so car is giving you more realistic electric range this way

I get around 70 Km range after a full charge.

But I never driving that much. In the winter i get 40-50 Km and summer 50-60 km.
I've some hills around me.

But the car still indicates around 70 Km. So I really don't know how this is calculated. Has nothing to do with my past and future driving.

Ok I would love more range, but its ok for me. Without hills i could probably do the 70 Km.

Thank you all for your feedback, how about charging ? Do you take to to 100% ? On my Tesla they recommend to only charge to 80% for everyday use. Do you know if there are any recommendations from BMW ? I could not find anything in the car documentation.

I go for 100% every time. Its a hybrid, fully electric would be something else... but i don't know what is recommended.

Just curious...does the rest of the world have 760e PHEV? We just recently (USA) got the 750e PHEV. Here, the 760 is a V8 ICE.

In Europe we have the 750e and M760e R6 3.0 but no 760 V8. We have also a 740d… and all i7.

I wonder if there would be a tuning/coding possibility to upgrade the engine mapping of the 750e technically it’s the same engine.
