Great feather detail.
I'm finding that my high-ISO shots with the 7D2 look almost as bad as Raw files as they did with my 7D, but they clean up much more easily, without losing much detail. Dave

Yeah they can still be pretty crunchy at higher ISOs, but they are much easier to fix IMO.
This is ISO 800, shot through the passenger window, across my buddy sitting next to me in the van, also shooting. They coyote was so interested in sniffing out critters, he didn't seem the least bit bothered by us. Sniffing for Varmints by lennycarl08, on Flickr |

This hawk was behaving more like a kite, hovering in place over a hillside. Digging the IS in the new glass. Handheld at 400mm and 1/100.

Thanks Dave. Yes it is always fairly windy out there, and the hawks do tend to congregate over the bluffs and hover into the headwinds. Probably saves them energy. It actually started raining a few minutes after I took this series.
