This reminds me of an incident that took place earlier this year.

Tire from southbound transport truck slams into vehicle in northbound lane.

That is nuts!

A buddy of mine has a C7 Corvette that happened to last year. Lifted full size truck with big tires going the opposite direction lost a wheel and it shot into the side of his car. It was down the rest of the summer and cost over $20k to fix. He talked about how lucky he was that it wasn't a split second sooner which would have hit him head on rather than in the drivers door.

When I lived I Milwaukee I saw wheels come off cars on highway 2x. 1 made it over median. Lived there 1 year. Never saw it happen before or since. Crazy.
