Matt LeBlanc to co-present Top Gear alongside Chris Evans

Hi all,

It has been a while since any Top Gear thread ... some news today about the new co-presenter ... it's Matt LeBlanc ... this could actually pan out well having a Brit and a US citizen. Should result in some good genuine banter / chat. He is a well received US export in the UK ... a couple of articles ...

I think I'd rather watch Top Gear USA going forward.

The only saving grace of the UK version is Chris Harris. I'll skip the rest of the content on that show, if I even watch it going forward.

The only Top Gear that exists is/will be Top Gear on Amazon with Jeremy, Richard, and James.

This could one of those things where he brings humor to the show or it's going to be a complete failure. Not sure if they'll be any in between.

His type of humor is going to be so incompatible with that of Top Gear it will seem very awkward. He is funny guy but British humor is such a dry wit that he will just come off a boorish I think.

They have top gear for so many other countries it's ridiculous... There was a South Korean top gear...

None of them come even close to the original... Not even in the same ballpark...

BBC doesn't get that it's the chemistry of the trio - it really was lightening caught in a bottle...

I would pay to watch a Russian Top Gear. Just showing day to day driving there would be a show.

Yeah that is in understatement, An American Actor with a Brit and German that combination is comic genius, not....

No kidding! I have been watching some youtube videos of dash cam compilations from Russia. Based on the designs of their roads I would be scared out of my mind to drive there. They have crosswalks in the middle of highways for crying out loud!!
