I actually think Matt LeBlanc is pretty funny and a pretty good host of that show. They should give it to him and have Chris Harris co-host.
That's about the only positive thing I can say about it. Chris Evans has an extremely punchable face and may be the most annoying person on the planet. The new celebrity track with the offroad section is completely ridiculous and ruined everything that made the celebrity lap fun and was somehow made 1000 times worse by Chris screaming "YAAAAY" like a 15 year old cheerleader every time they go through the puddle, He doesn't seem to have more than one pair of pants and shoes, both of which should never been worn by anyone ever, the challenges are dumb (mostly because Chris Evans is in them)...I guess that's enough for now. Either Evans goes or Top Gear is dead to me. |

Interviews were occasionally interesting, displaying the guests personality. Star in a car lap used to be narrated well, and it was fun to watch the guests mess up on their practice laps. They also had genuine investment on how they did. New guests don't seem to give a shit, almost like they don't want to be there sometimes. Old Star in a (reasonably priced) Car wasn't always fun but at least it wasn't gimmicky.

Credit where due. Matt's 911R review was quite good. If that's a sign of what's to come there is hope for the show.

Should have let the show die with the old cast. Plus when there show comes out its over anyway.
If I had a time machine and showed up 18 months ago at the bbc pitching them to replace the cast of top gear, with Joey from friends as the strong role, I think they would have sent me in for a mental evaluation. |

As much as I no longer could bear Toy Story aka Captain Slow and anachronistic spoiled ex DJ bloke whose moniker is Hamster bestowed upon by Jeremy ,I was watching the program because of Jeremy presence . Albeit sometimes he run out of lines too .
Without these two aforementioned rendered celebrity thanks to Top Gear ,the program would be nicer ,Jeremy ,The Stig and 2 new hosts would be cool Anyway, sorry for the rant but I thought I had to step in when I saw a thread related to Top Gear . I am no longer interested in watching the program at all I didn't know Chris was gone , not too good signs for the future of the program given too premature replacement of the host |

I actually think the new show is pretty good. Joey has been way better than I expected (911 R review was great), Harris continues to be excellent... I don't really care for Evans much, but knowing the collection he has I don't mind hearing his opinions. He knows his stuff.
Celebrity bits are shit, but to be fair they were shit on the old top gear too. As much as I love the original trio, they had their fair share of corny / scripted / forgettable moments too.

Glad to see Evans gone! Matt's review of the 911R was very good. Chris Harris is very good also but we all knew that. I kinda had a feeling something was up when Evans was not part of the year in review 30 minute show at the end. maybe making Harris, and Matt co-host is the right answer
