What is this warning light for?

Recently bought a 2021 740i drive with 20k miles.

Seeing this warning symbol. Is it related to auto start stop feature?

Also, does this car have a mild hybrid system where it is storing energy from braking? If not what does the gauge on bottom right represent?

Thanks

That just means that an alert has been displayed recently
It may be something like exceeded your sped limit that’s been set I idrive
Door open
Bit open
Something like that
It will go out assuming the alert is no longer being displayed

It’s just a flag to individual a message if some kind rather something specific

Nothing to worry about at all, quite normal

I would assume that there is more info available under notifications in CID.

It will store energy under braking and coasting conditions into your normal 12v system battery. Charging strategy with these vehicles is closer to hybrid systems in order to minimize alternator load requirements during driving.

Definitely need to check your owners manual…either the paperback version or the digital version that is built into iDrive (which also has multiple ways to search). You can search by keyword, pictures, videos, quick reference etc. The embedded videos are cool to watch (right there on the screen) and are very imformative.

That warning symbol is one you should know because it is from the Check Control system which alerts you to various things happening with the car. It also is not a mystery because it will let you know why the warning came up.
