Status Field Information Disappeared

My iDrive stopped displaying the little status icons (time, phone status etc) which normally appear on the top right of the control display. There doesn't seem to be any reference in the manual how to turn this back on. Can anyone help ? Thanks.

I think it goes depending how you have the screen setup. Try removing split screen if you have it activated or zooming out.

@samsas:

If you are referring to the gray overlay in the top right hand corner of the iDrive screen (e.g. when the navigation maps are displayed), you can enable and disable the overlay by pushing the iDrive controller knob down (as in selecting a menu entry) while the focus is on the map scale (e.g. you can change the map scale by turning the iDrive controller knob).

If the focus is not on the map scale, navigate the focus to the map scale then press the knob down. That should bring your little gray box back

Thank you all. Yes it is the grey overlay on the map screen and I followed your advice and now got it to come back.
