Steering feel

When my F01 was in the shop a few weeks back, I received a 2008 750Li loaner. This loaner did not have a sport package.

It seems that my F01 with the sport package (and active steering) has a "lighter steering wheel feel" than the loaner. I actually prefer a slighly heavier steering wheel feel.

Maybe it is fine - due to the active steering. I don't have experience with any other cars with active steering. My only comparison is my M5 (which I LOVE the steering feel) but I know it is not a good comparison in this luxury class.

I'm sure BMW can issue a software patch for the sport and sport plus modes to firm things up.... I actually always drive in sport.

any thoughts out there?

i totally agree. coming from an E65 sport to an F01 sport the steering does feel pretty light. the e65 was always just a bit lighter than my dads m5 which is a little bit lighter than my E90 sport.
