Nice improvement! More aggressive/ sporty.

This gives me a little more confidence about the design direction of BMW than I originally had. New M5 is terrific looking, new 3er "appears" to be good, new X3 is nice, new 6er is a big improvement.

Just don't understand what happened with the new 1 series hatch....

I think it will look great! Also a lot of upgrades will be available, including the new tri-turbo diesel (a winner for European market)

S class had some improvements too with the LCI model released, also the new A8 has very good stuff incorporated, but with the facelifted 7 series will be on top of the sales for a period

IIRC, the engine is supposed to get a power boost.

Simple answer is because cars are extremely complex systems. Tiny changes can effect things in unexpected ways. You don't just slap on new parts and say "yep, that looks like it'll be good".

From where I sit, a peugot driver has lost the right to call ANYthing ugly. But then, peugots are SO ugly, youre kinda the authority on ugliness.

And personally I think you meant to say it shits on that heap called the s 'class'. Or that the s 'class' is a heap of shit. Either one is accurate....

The black wheels should be style 238. They look the same as my winter tires except mine are silver in color rather than black...

First post here. Great job everyone, a very informative forum. Just curious, does anyone have the confirmation when the LCI is coming to North America, I read March 2012 production, but it's more likely fall 2012 as a 2013 model year right?

Definitely getting the piano black trim regardless if it's 2012 or 2013 I'm ordering.

Much thanks for any feedback in advance.

Glad the LCI isn't too dramatic. Don't want my 2012 740Li to look toooo terribly outdated when it finally arrives stateside. Gotta say, whether you love the 7 or hate it, the car certainly turned a lot of heads when I was driving it in Europe last month. It's a huge car, but doesn't feel nearly as large as it really is (thanks to Integral Active Steering, etc.).

It also looks like the trim around the ignition button is a little different. Not sure what is happening but it is different on the bottom.

Had the Mercedes Benz mobile hotspot installed today in my Mercedes.

Wife can now be on the computer while I am driving and it is pretty fast. My cell phone is hooked up to Wi-Fi

System is pretty cool. Is BMW going to do this in 2013?
