New 740d ordered - July delivery

First post
The waiting starts. I have been lurking around here for a few months. After time owning a 530d, 530d, 730d and our current 535d, our dealer told us about some keen offers on a new 6 or 7. (0% and big dealer contribution)
Having owned a 7 in the past (2012) which was a little better than the 530 I was driving, I kind of dismissed a new 7. But boy what an improvement over then older model. Briefly looked at a 6, but quickly had my heart set on a 7. So much more modern and luxury feeling. Had one for a 24 h test drive and I was blown away by the refinement, poise and performance.
To cut a long story short, we have a 740d MSport x drive on order (ruby black) with a few options ( hud, H/K, parking package, etc.. it does start getting expensive!).
The wait starts now, will post a few pics when she arrrives

Welcome to the forum and especially to the 7 sub-forum ronners!

Sounds like they have the great 0% deals over your way now too, definitely worth taking that up if you can and especially for such a brilliant car (the 7), even more so with the 740d (great power, excellent economy, a lovely combination in a luxury car.

Agree about originally thinking the new G series wasn't going to be much different to the previous F series at first glance but wow, as you say, once you get in and give it a good drive, there are very few that don't get won over I think! The way it handles and feels like a 5 but has the nice luxury feel and better air suspension.

Sounds like you've spec'd it up well and we all look forward to seeing your new pride and joy, again, welcome to the 7 and to the forum, please do post about your experiences and share pics of that lovely beast!

Safe travels.

That's a great choice, I think if your not set on a body style or such then the 7 is an easy choice over the 6 really.

Look forward to hearing your review and photos when the car arrives
