Installed the Ghost. Only problem is calibration with Ista is required. The passenger side was sitting higher and no matter what adjustment you performed with links it would not correct. Setting ride height is mandatory, also have done F85 and calibration was required as well. What these link companies do not tell you and I highly advise getting installed from someone that knows what they are doing.

First off, the car looks great! Love the stance now.

Secondly, I've been having this issue as well. The car always sits lower on the passenger side and it's driving me nuts. My 5GT has the air link setup in the rear like these new 7's. Is the dealer capable of working with Ista to program the ride height? I know one of the techs there well so he should be able to help me out.

You guys can also check out http://adjustableairride.com/mobile/car.php?id=9, they make some high quality metal adjustable links too.

Contact John (info on website) and let him know TheBlackGT sent you, he'll hook you up.

tips

Your car looks really nice.
I'm going to have ghost links installed on my G12 this weekend. Is there anything I should be aware of? Having ISTA checked is required? Any tips or suggestion?

I must give a BIG Thank You to Mybimmerbrain for sitting hours with me to calibrate my ride height though ISTA, as I have the rear air spring setup off the 7's. The man is extremely patient and worked with me despite being past midnight and having an initially faulty wire. Make sure you hit him up for the ISTA calibration as my car was sitting too low on the passenger side no matter what I did.

Hey guys, I just lowered my M760i on Ghost links today. Pretty satisfied with the outcome. I'm running 21' Vossen VPS-306. Work was done by Bimmer Clinic in South Amboy, NJ.

Is that your car I see in the JC Heights? Looks great by the way. How does it ride? Love the 21"s - perfect size.

Are all cars going to have that issue when using links?

Any info on this? My links arrive mid week and I just received my wheels, wondering about the passenger height issue.

not necessarily, but it's a possibility. Like I said though, contact Mybimmerbrain and he'll take care of it.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. You guys are truly a wealth of information. I have been reading this thread and would like to lower my car. Can anyone tell me if the Istra calibration is needed regardless of which links are used? I notice some people mention it while others don't. Is it something that has to be done?

Thanks for your help

You don't have to do it, but it's likely you'll need it since one side might sit higher than the other.

Anyone used the lowering links on a B7? Because it lowers the car further in Sport Plus mode I'm worried about bottoming out.
