One of the doctors at our hospital bought one. Sat inside . Took my soul away. Love those seats and the stitching. Well played out Audi. Congrats

Absolutely FANTASTIC machine and choice!

I agree... For the $$$, NOTHING compares in sheer "curbside appeal, presence and performance". Not to mention comfort for a Supercar.

Amazing car, congrats. Get rid of the stock tires if you plan to track, that's the only reason the car had lower track times compared to the 911-T.

Beautiful ride. Congrats.

I think you will be waiting a long time for BMW to match what you have. BMW probably can produce a similar motor. There isn't a big market for amazing V10s in $200,000 cars. I think BMW chooses not to play in that market. If they choose to put their full weight to it, I suppose BMW could field a similar car that would get your attention, but it would only sell 1,000 to 2,000 units a year. That's not where BMW is headed.

Even the Mercedes has the upcoming amg GT R. BMW should really make a supercar.

well played. you live in Canada and have an audi r8. Best of both worlds. I love how everything is so laid back in Canada, not everything is a race.

How's the maintenance / costs on the R8? I've heard the old ones were built like tanks (very durable).

There's Audi care that covers for four years including maintaining.

Really? I would've thought the R8 would be expensive to maintain since it is an Audi after all..

Congrats on the purchase! We've had quite a lot of fun with our second gen with the addition of two turbos by Heffner Performance, an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, and about half a dozen wheel sets. Let me know if you need any help with mods in the future I have you covered!

A bit off there. Not only is the turbo S cheaper (or can be) it is faster by good margin 10.6@131 vs 10.9@129 and faster to 150 mph by a full second) better handling , and outdoes the R8 in any performance aspect and is more dynamic and fun to drive too. The mclaren is also a better performer than the R8 though I personally never liked the looks of the mclarens no matter how fast they are. Test results below. Turbo S won the comparison.

OP the car is gorgeous. Always love the R8 and the new generation is no exception.
Thats the claims.

Does anyone know when will they stop making R8s with V10s? Like a year? I want to get one before they stop making them.
