I was hoping I could do it just by code, I already have the remote parking feature which starts the engine for you to move the car from the remote, that's why I thought it could be possible, I also managed to get the remote start to show up in the climate control but I can't select it either, so I'm thinking there is something else which I need to modify, maybe in the BDC.

I'd love both of those mods, and getting rid of the auto start/stop. With the V-12 torque, it lunges and loads/unloads the air suspension every time it starts or stops as I tend to not mash the brake when I sit at a stop.

You can code the start/stop. It’ll just remember the last setting.

I recently purchased the carplay coding from bimmertech, without knowing there are cheap alternatives out there.

Later I tried to code with bimmercode, and found out the head unit module is not available in bimmercode due to the carplay coding.

Is there anyway I can still code the headunit module and preserve the carplay?

Unfortunately, once your HU has been altered (for Carplay), it's no longer accessible by Bimmercode even if you revert to the original state (the other modules are still codable by BC, though); this was a consientious limitation set by the Bimmercode developer. Your best option to code HU now is to use E-sys and a laptop.

Hey guys is there a way to code full screen CarPlay to 2016 g12 without having to go through mmi box? I had bought one for my x5 but it’s garbage, sound quality is awful .

For SVT ACTUAL You have to use READ ECU - this is a right option for G12
For FDL you have to use esys ultra or bimmerutility

I have a G11 with SLI option enabled. When i go in EU everything works fine, but when i go out of EU my SLI signs go (---). Does anybody know how to code it so SLI can work in non SLI countries like Balkans?

Did you get this to work. I am in the same position - I have the remote parking and that works fine... and I have the remote start showing in the climate control screen on iD7 - but I still haven't managed to get normal remote start to work. Someone on one of the forums told me you need an FDL code or something in ISTA to 'allow' remote start but they didn't know what code it was.

You just need to change one parameter in HU_NBT2 for that.
