So the 3.8L (or 3.9L, really, rounding up) V8 carries over form the California, but with about 45 more hp.

For a car with ~600hp, it isn't necessarily putting down impressive acceleration numbers. I'm sure it is no lightweight, but neither is an M5 or E63S, and they are likely to outperform this (straight line) with similar power, while weighing more. So AWD is the difference maker it seems.

I am not sure I find this more attractive than the outgoing California. It's not bad, but I'm not feeling that sharp character line coming from the front of the rear fender near the side skirt. Too much going on with these criss-crossing lines.

Ferrari generally have very high tail lights. It's not any higher than other recent models but I think the narrower stance makes it seem taller. I don't think any model had a taller looking rear end than the F430. That thing looked like it got a swift kick in the rear.

I think the non functioning round tails of the pre T California were the high point of stupidity. And the exhaust. Although I suppose it did have the distinction of being the last connection to this:

It's a fucking corevette. Anyone who doesn't think this looks like a vette that someone like Calloway got their hands on is just uninformed.

Maybe tone that down a notch or two? You are basically baiting people with that remark.

Anyway, it's not a secret that Corvette and Ferrari have had noticeably convergent styling for a couple generations now. It's not really a new thing. That said, to my eye, Ferrari does the wedge-shaped sports car better than GM does. But from a value perspective the Corvette wins easily, so its easy to forgive them for that.

Funny how everyone has different tastes. The Cali's not bad and this one just looks more masculine but still has that smirking/smiling face, just more aggro. It still has a high back and it still looks better w/ the roof *up* vs down. Agree that the roofline looks great, so that's why I think it if stays as a 'coupe', it looks nice. Side reminds me of a 599 and the back still retains some Cali+458 elements.

Looks better than California, but that display is too low to look when driving.
