Full disclosure. I work for an American auto company.
The GT350s sure are not showing that good quality. But I agree the Chevy stuff is solid.

Yeah the GT350's went the way of the ol' euro V8....high revving, low torque. On the street they're barely comparable to a regular Camaro SS. I can't wait to see what they do with the GT500; then there will be a true competitor for the ZL1....hopefully a model for ZL1 1LE competition.

Although their quality has increased, the GT350 is a track car. If you want a luxury feel and perfect NVH there are trade offs that need to be made. All of the NVH put into a car costs money and weight. Performance over comfort. As far as I am concerned as long as the power train is solid on these track cars, that's all that matters.

Remember when the Non-R models were overheating their transmission on the track and causing limp mode? Man. It's like they caught N54 syndrom.

And make no mistake of it, when you're in one that flat plane crank makes it feel like a 4 cyl without a balance shaft. It screams race car in pretty much every way....minus them choosing to use a TR3160 trans with it instead of a TR6060. I find that hilarious didn't make enough torque to warrant the heavier duty trans.
