iDrive Music Collection: Pre-LCI Facelift to Post-LCI Facelift

I have a 2011 7 Series, but I’m currently in a 2014 5 Series loaner.

For those who’ve gone from a Pre-LCI Facelift to a Post-LCI Facelift iDrive setup, has anyone found it frustrating there’s now too many steps to get to your "Music Collection" album list?

All you would have to do previously is go to “Music Collection”, but now you have to go to “Music Collection”, click the SECOND(!?) icon at the upper left of the screen (would be more intuitive it if was the FIRST icon), then click “Browse All” to get to your album list!?

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a shortcut I’m missing?

Thanks. :|

Yes, it's more confusing.

Plus, I find it strange that you click on main menu, then navigation, but then you have to go back to get to the first sub menu.

Anyway, the reason they changed music collection was to allow you to search easier.

It's absolutely horrid!

Whoever made the call on this should be fired.

I'm about to go from a 5 series to a 2010 7 Series, so this is reassuring... I always feel a bit nervous because I worry that the thing I'll not be able to live with is the older interfaces.

When you get to the Album List, just press and hold one of the 8 quickkeys and from then on it's just one press away.

Good idea; thanks; would rather not lose a button to this, but we'll see!

Hmm; no problem. Ridiculous how difficult they've made the new system.
