Placed my order on a 2014,Unsure....

I just placed my order on a 2014 750li X today. My lease on the 135 ends today and had to place an order. For the past few months I have tried every way not to buy one amidst guilt and fear .This would be my first 100k vehicle and I hope I am doing the proper thing.Though I can afford it, just the thought of spending $$$ on a car brings in the guilt.Has anyone gone through this feeling ?

I am 35 and feel like I might be jumping the gun a tad too early .I test drove other [cheaper ]alternatives and felt that my 135 was better than all of them.So at the end it was between buying off my 135 or ordering a new 7.

First off, you're leasing not buying.

Secondly, life is short. If you can afford to treat yourself, why not?

I'm 28, and had similar concerns. Ultimately I decided I'm not going to let judgments or some stigma about "being too young" or "jumping the gun" affect my decision.

However, the only downside is now when I want to get something new, my tastes and wants will command an EVEN BETTER car. But hey, that's why they call us car enthusiasts.

135i to a new 750i is a massive jump which you're not going to regret.

The 135i was a safe choice again because of similar feelings 3 years ago.No regrets though. It served the purpose pretty well.I am sure the 750 will be an amazing vehicle .

Look, you pulled the trigger. Decision made.

This car can save your life:

1. Instead of buying an M5 or some other race toy, you took the high (and safe road).

2. The collision system when combined with HUD might prevent you from getting distracted someday and slamming into the rear of the car in front of you.

3. Crash protection is on par with a $100k car.

When combined, you made a great decision to put your money into safety rather than flaunting a hot rod.

My reason for buying this car was all of the above, plus surrounding myself (immersing) in creative beauty that adds safety helps improve my creativity at work.

You made a great decision and remember, since you're leasing, you made another great decision---if the car gets wrecked during your ownership, you can help yourself to a tech refresh without penalty two years later.

Congratulations!

When is your car expected in? Are you tracking it?

I am not tracking it on a regular basis to keep myself calm and planted. I know its built and is awaiting the transit. My SA said that it might be here by New year.I hope they fix that parking brake[hopefully they got the new part at production] before I collect it.

Race toy? Cool, never heard of M5s being referred to as race toys.

That's great! Something super to look forward to for new years!

I am pretty sure your car will have the updated software and parts.
You should have nothing to worry about, I'll bet they fixed this issue pretty early, once it was realized to be a problem.

Huge upgrade from the 1 to the 7! Very cool though. I'm sure the technology alone will make you love this car

Very nice, jumping from 1 to 7. I went from 3, 5, to 7. If I had the garage space, I would love to have them all.

Life is really short. You can't take money with you when you're dead, so enjoy now. The 750Li is a great choice. I'm 29, I thought the 7 was an old man's car until I drove one. It's like a cruise missile on the highway.

It certainly should be a jump. Its going to be my wives/family car.The first planned move is to get hold of a set of 252 wheels.Debating between used VS New.My SA quoted 3550 with tax.
