Hmm?

I was looking over some of the options for the F01/F02 and I noticed that the side sunshades are manual operation?

ZLS - Luxury Seating pkg

416 - Power rear sunshade with rear Manual side window shades.

is this for real?
can anyone confirm if they are manual or powered?

I noticed that on the US website too. I can't tell you about the US model, but I can confirm that the Canadian version has powered rear AND powered side window shades.

You should probably ask your dealer if they are manual or powered or even better, swing by your dealership and try it out on one of their 750s...

Did you download a PDF version of the 7 series brochure to see if the brochure lists the same option and manual side sunshades?

No problem.

Although BMW US and BMW Canada call the packages the same, the content is usually different. Also, just to make things even more complicated, they like to mix things up a bit every year. They change the options that are included in one package this year and make it part of a different package next year.

Sunshades are motorized!

I have a new 750i and the side and rear sunshades are motorized. Very similiar to my old 2006 750i's operation. Simply hold down the shade button and they all open or close. My 2008 M5 has manual side and motorized rear

I figured it must have been a typo. I would have found it a bit strange if the side shades were manual in the 750!

They must have copied this from another model (maybe the 5 series) and just edited what was different and forgot to correct this in the 7 series specs!?!

Another change from the previous E65 7 Series is that the sunroof shade is automated now. You first use the sunroof button to open the shade, then open the sunroof. Same procedure for the close.

They basically made it to work like the 3 and 5 series touring cars and the X5 all of which have the panoramic sunroof. Those cars already had the power shade feature.

US SPEC: Power side window curtains. (Just pressed the button a minute ago and watched them move) ;-)
